Julie Ivanoff is a PhD student at the Azrieli School of Architecture at Carleton University, and a researcher at the Carleton Immersive Media Studio (CIMS) where she is investigating the application of digital twins at regional and national scales. Her research focuses on the life cycle management of built assets through industry foundation classes (IFC) and ISO 19650. Her interest lies in the relationships between virtual-digital representations and their physical counterparts, and how those transformations impact their manifestation as the built environment.
